My pet / dog portraits are created in coloured pencil, using only highest quality products such as, Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran D'Ache Pablo's and Luminance and Derwent Lightfast pencils. I use both Clairefontaine Pastel mat paper and board also Fabriano watercolour paper, both are wonderful velvety surface, perfect for capturing the qualities of animal fur.

I wasn’t actively looking to have a portrait of our dog done, but as soon as I saw Paul’s picture of a Rhodesian ridgeback I knew that was a perfect Christmas present! Paul was very responsive to my initial queries and was open to either meeting in person or, as ended up happening, drawing from a selection of photos. He sent me little updates as the portrait progressed which was unexpected but lovely to receive. The final portrait arrived beautifully wrapped and well protected. The picture itself is incredible - each hair and facet of our dogs personality shines through. I was lucky to stumble across Paul and his special talent - and highly recommend getting in touch if you want a beautiful portrait of someone / something you love.

Paul and his incredible talent crossed my path at a very sad time. Lonestar my beagle and most faithful best friend passed away at just the time I had commissioned his portrait to be drawn. Paul's art work was impeccable. He captured Lonestar's character and all the nuances of Lonestar himself. I will cherish this drawing forever. I fully and highly recommend Paul for his work and talent. Forever thankful.

My experience with Paul has been amazing. Paul is extremely talented , and willing to try anything. His communication is outstanding. Paul explains the size and what type of materials he uses. As he works on your portrait he can send pictures to you as to how far it is and how looks . With Paul’s communication he stays on track with checking to make sure that the colors are what you’re looking for in your portrait. It’s so exciting to get a sneak peek of what he’s working on. And to top it off his prices are extremely reasonable. I personally highly recommend him. I give Paul 5 stars
